CELEBRITY GIFT SUITE ESCORT Hang out with the stars in a fun and unique setting, while getting a taste of the star treatment yourself! This auction is for a one-of-a kind experience for you and a guest to escort celebrities around a gift suite while they are gifted from vendors from all over the world. The gift suite is the 2008 Off-Site Emmy Awards Celebrity Gifting Suite put on by Connected Celebrity Gift Rooms. The gifting suite will be attended by 30-40 celebrities from all facets of the entertainment industry including TV, film and music. Some of the celebrities that have attended previous Connected events include; High School Musical star Corbin Bleu, Hollywood legend Ernest Borgnine, Paul Stanley from KISS, Reality show star and female wrestler Chyna, Celebrity Apprentice star Omarosa and American Music Award winner Chris Daughtry just to name a few. Along with escorting the celebrities around the room, the winner and their guest will also get the opportunity to obtain personal photographs with the celebrities. Winner and guest will also be able to get autographs. It's a one-of-a kind opportunity to spend time with Hollywood celebrities in a fun unique setting. And that's not all.... on the second day of the event, the winner and their guest will get to walk the room and get gifts just like the celebrities, giving you a taste of the star treatment yourself! You will get to walk around the room and get one item from each table. There will be approximately 20 tables (amount subject to change). The event will be taking place at a private location in Los Angeles, CA on September 14th and 15th, 2008 from 1pm-7pm (exact location will be given to the winner). This is an off-site Emmy event that is not affiliated with the Emmy Awards. This auction does not include any travel expenses. The winner and their guest will be responsible for all travel and transportation to and from the event. Winner and guest will be responsible for arriving on time. Winner and guest must be at least 14 years of age. All payments should be made in US Funds. Currently the accepted methods of payment are Paypal and cashiers check. If you are paying by cashiers check, please contact us at the end of the auction and let us know that's how you will be paying. After you contact us, we will give you further instructions on where to mail it. Cashiers checks should be made payable to "Let Them Play." We suggest sending your cashiers check via a traceable source such as FedEx, Airborne Express, DHL, UPS or USPS insured mail. However, the easiest and fastest way to pay is through Paypal. With technology rapidly growing, kids are spending an increasing amount of time on the internet and playing video games. Organized sports help keep kids away from online predators and violent video games. They are also a great way for children to make long lasting friendships. The children that cannot afford to play are not just from inner cities. This problem affects kids in cities of all economic classes. To raise funds, Let Them Play will be auctioning off a variety of items ranging from unique one-of-a-kind experiences, meet and greets and hard to get tickets and products. Proceeds from the auctions will be given to selected youth sports organizations from all over the country. FAQ I've won the auction! What happens next? What happens depends on what type of auction you win. Let Them Play has two different types of auctions: Experience Auctions (non-tangible auctions i.e. "Lunch with Paula Abdul") Item Auctions (tangible auctions i.e. "Basketball Autographed by Carmello Anthony") Experience auction winners will be assigned a Let Them Pay representative to facilitate the fulfillment of the experience. This representative will contact the winner via phone or email shortly after the auction ends. Item auction winners will receive an email from Let Them Play shortly after the auction ends with payment instructions. We will contact the winner via email again when the payment is confirmed and the item ships. Please see the individual auctions for details about shipping time, shipping cost and shipping services. I don't live in the United States, can I still bid on your auctions? Yes, most of our auctions will be open to international bidders. International buyers are responsible for the flat shipping cost stated in the listing plus an additional international shipping fees that apply including customs, VAT, duties, fees, tariffs etc., which may be assessed and due upon delivery of item. Let Them Play cannot pre-determine these fees and are not responsible for the additional costs. Is there sales tax? No sales tax is required in any of our auctions. Is my purchase tax-deductible?
