BROADWAY RENT FINAL PERFORMANCE VIP AUCTION PACKAGEBid for a chance to be a part of Broadway history! On September 7, 2008, after over 5,100 performances, the curtain will fall at the Nederlander Theater on the final performance of Broadway's 1996 groundbreaking Tony Award® and Pulitzer Prize winning musical RENT. The producers of this landmark musical have generously donated a pair of tickets to be auctioned on ebay with the proceeds to benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. Tickets to this farewell performance are "invite only" and will not be made available to the general public. This "one of a kind" performance will feature appearances by members of the original 1996 Broadway cast and will be filmed by Sony Pictures Entertainment for theatrical release in 2008. As if this were not enough, following the performance you and a guest will join the cast at a private final cast party. Finally, the winner of this auction will take home a RENT 14" x 22" poster/windowcard signed by members of this historic final cast as well as a copy of the 1997 hardcover book "RENT" by Jonathan Larson, a thorough history of the show loaded with photos and full libretto. But bid now before the last Five hundred twenty-five thousand, six hundred minutes are up! Please note the poster in the photograph is a stock poster signed by a previous cast of the show but the poster being auctioned with this package will be signed by the final cast! This item is generously donated to raise funds for Broadway Cares / Equity Fights AIDS (BC/EFA). BC/EFA is the nation's leading industry-based, not-for-profit AIDS fundraising and grant making organization. BC/EFA is the on-going, committed response from the American Theatre community to an urgent worldwide health crisis. By drawing upon the talents, resources, and generosity of this community, BC/EFA raises funds for AIDS-related causes across the United States. Since its founding in 1988, BC/EFA has raised over $140 million for critically needed services for people with AIDS, HIV or HIV-related illnesses.
